The shopping answer is the new shelf

When a buyer asks an assistant for the best running shoes under 120 euros, they get a shortlist, not a results page. Being absent from that shortlist costs the sale before any comparison happens. The e-commerce module applies the full Citeme loop, audit then optimize then monitor, to your catalog rather than to your marketing pages.

Catalog

GEO for your product catalog

The module starts by finding your catalog on its own. Platform detection runs live, the API is used when there is one, and a generic scraper takes over when there is not, so getting started does not depend on you exporting a clean feed first.

011

Automatic product import

Live platform detection, native API when available, generic scraper as a fallback. Your catalog lands in Citeme without a manual export.

022

Suggested shopping keywords

Citeme reads the catalog and proposes the buying queries your products should be answering, instead of asking you to guess them.

033

Shopping audit on buyer queries

The engines are queried the way a shopper phrases things, and the audit records whether your products appear in the answer and in what position.

044

Google Merchant optimization loop

Findings feed back into your Merchant data, so the fix ships where the shopping engines actually read it.

055

A rebuilt e-commerce audit page

GEO Score with its reasoning shown, share of voice, citations broken down by engine, and the trend over time rather than a single snapshot.

066

Description rewriting

Agents rewrite product descriptions to be citable by shopping engines: clear specs, structured facts, comparison ready.

How it works

Audit the catalog, not just the site

A classic GEO audit looks at pages. A catalog needs something else: the unit that wins or loses a citation is the product, and a store can have thousands of them. The module scores at that level, so you know which listings are already recommended and which never appear.

From there the work is ordinary e-commerce discipline applied to a new surface. Descriptions that state specifications plainly get quoted. Vague marketing copy does not. Price and availability that contradict your feed get repeated wrong by the engines, which is worse than being absent.

  • Automatic platform detection, API or scraper fallback
  • Shopping keywords suggested from your own catalog
  • Per-product visibility on buyer-style queries
  • Google Merchant optimization loop
  • Share of voice and trend, not a one-off score

How it works

  1. 1

    Connect the catalog

Citeme detects the platform and imports the products, through the API or a fallback scraper.

  2. 2

    Audit shopping queries

Suggested buying keywords are run against the engines to see which products get recommended.

  3. 3

    Optimize and re-audit

Rewrite the listings that lose, push the fix through Merchant, and watch the trend rather than a single score.

Good to know

No, and that is deliberate. Citeme detects your platform live and imports the catalog through the native API when one exists. When it does not, a generic scraper takes over and builds the product list from your storefront. The reason matters more than the convenience. Asking for a clean feed before anything can happen is how e-commerce SEO tools lose people in week one, because the feed is usually owned by a different team and takes days to produce. Starting from the store means you see a first audit the same day, and the feed work becomes an optimization rather than a prerequisite.
